SIX THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HIRING A DISC JOCKEY

1.)  Whomever you decide to hire, make sure you meet with or talk to over the phone the actual DJ that will perform at your function.

2.)  Make sure the DJ has professional equipment.

3.)  Make sure the DJ dresses appropriately for the affair.  Tuxedo is the most appropriate attire for a wedding unless YOU instruct otherwise.

4.)  Make sure the DJ knows how to work a wedding.  This includes; when to do introductions, your first dance, father and bride dance, the groom and mother dance, cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet and your last dance.

5.)  Make sure to give the DJ a list of definite things to be done and a list of things NOT to be done.

6.)  If you are not comfortable with the DJ ask for the last three weddings that he/she performed and this will tell you how often they work and give you a better idea of how they and their guest received the DJ.
