SIX THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HIRING A DISC JOCKEY
1.) Â Whomever you decide to hire, make sure you meet with or talk to over the phone the actual DJ that will perform at your function.
2.) Â Make sure the DJ has professional equipment.
3.) Â Make sure the DJ dresses appropriately for the affair. Â Tuxedo is the most appropriate attire for a wedding unless YOU instruct otherwise.
4.) Â Make sure the DJ knows how to work a wedding. Â This includes; when to do introductions, your first dance, father and bride dance, the groom and mother dance, cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet and your last dance.
5.) Â Make sure to give the DJ a list of definite things to be done and a list of things NOT to be done.
6.) Â If you are not comfortable with the DJ ask for the last three weddings that he/she performed and this will tell you how often they work and give you a better idea of how they and their guest received the DJ.
DJ Connection has performed at more than 2300 affairs and events over the last 32 years. Â We started in Baltimore, Maryland in March of 1979 and still return to our roots for performances. Â It is a great honor to receive a call from a Wedding client from 25 years ago, and they still remember us and would like us to DJ their child’s wedding in the same manner we did for them back then.
